The General Body of the organization constitute of 11 members with five of them being female and six male. From among the General body, a seven
members Governing body is constituted. The secretary is the authorized person on behalf of the organization to make all legal correspondence and is the
joint signatory along with the President of the organization.
Mr. Sanjit Patnayak
Secretary, Chief Functionary
Mr. Patnayak, with a postgraduate degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Social Work, has extensive experience in the development sector, specializing in NGO management and strategies to address issues like poverty, education, child protection, and healthcare. He is skilled in community mobilization, child rights, and leadership training, and has significantly contributed to empowering local communities. His expertise has earned him roles in various district and state-level committees, along with multiple awards from reputed agencies. Known for his innovative approach to social impact, he continues to drive positive change through strategic leadership and capacity-building efforts.
Mr. Madan Kirshani
President
Mr. Madan Kirshani is a tribal leader with 20 years of experience in the development sector, dedicated to addressing tribal issues and advocating for their rights. A law graduate, he has received specialized training in tribal affairs and has developed expertise in delivering training on various tribal development topics in indigenous languages.As a state-level tribal leader, Madan has emerged as a powerful social change maker, focusing on tribal rights, Forest Rights, and the MTB-MLE (Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education). His efforts continue to empower tribal communities and drive meaningful change in policies that affect their lives and futures.
Mr. Tanka Chendia

Mr. Tanka Chendia is a young tribal farmer and graduate with 17 years of experience in the development sector, particularly focused on tribal livelihoods. He is a well-known tribal farmer with 10 years of expertise in tribal farming and its associated challenges. In addition, he possesses extensive experience in strengthening community organizations and Panchayati Raj institutions. Furthermore, he has been actively involved in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and empowering local farmers through innovative training programs.
Mr. Maddi Mutyla Rao

Mr. Mutyala Rao is a well-qualified professional with a post-graduate degree in IRPM and an LLB, combining academic excellence with versatile expertise. As a dedicated lawyer, he offers free legal services to underserved communities and uses his knowledge of various legal acts to support organizations in conducting legal awareness camps. His efforts empower individuals to understand their rights and responsibilities. Additionally, Mr. Rao is frequently nominated to district-level committees by private agencies, reflecting the recognition of his legal expertise and commitment to social justice.

Mr. Mishra, with a PhD in Tribal Studies and 30 years of experience in the development and government sectors, has a deep understanding of tribal communities and their needs. He specializes in designing training programs and creating innovative tools for civil society organizations. His research has contributed to policy development and advocacy in the region. He has authored several influential books for grassroots volunteers, offering practical frameworks for community work. Additionally, Mr. Mishra has composed development awareness songs that have successfully mobilized communities across Odisha, making him a respected figure in tribal development, committed to sustainable change and empowerment. His outstanding contributions have earned him recognition from various government and private agencies.

With a strong focus on gender and child development issues, she has advocated for spaces that promote safety, accessibility, and empowerment. Her passion for sustainable design is matched by her dedication to creating environments that foster growth and equality, especially for women and children.

Later, she chose to provide private educational services, focusing on grooming underprivileged girls for higher education. Alongside her educational work, she is also a talented painter and dress designer. Furthermore, Mrs. Pattnaik actively volunteers in community development initiatives, leveraging her skills to empower women and children in her local area.

Our Management Team
There is a management committee consisting of representative from the Governing body and senior staff to manage the day to day affair of the organisation. It comprises of three Governing Body (GB) members and eight senior staffs nominated by the President/Secretary.

Ms. Suprabha Nisanka holds a master’s degree in social work from Berhampur University and has been working in the NGO sector for 28 years. Throughout her career, she has been involved in various projects, particularly in the areas of women’s rights and child rights and protection. Currently, she is dedicated to working in the field of child rights and protection, which is her true passion.
Mr. Ramprasad Pattnaik
Programme Manager
Mr. Ramprasad Pattnaik holds double postgraduate degrees in Physics from Sambalpur University and a Law degree from Utkal University. His career in the development sector began 8 years ago and has been actively involved ever since. Currently, he manages various programs within the organization, with a particular focus on MIS and documentation. He initially joined SOVA with a focus on health, specifically addressing HIV/AIDS outbreaks, and later widened his work to education, demonstrating his versatility.

Mr. Bijaya Pattnaik holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and has been dedicated to the development sector for 29 years. Over the years, he has specialized in projects related to child rights and child protection, demonstrating a deep commitment to safeguarding vulnerable children. Additionally, he has also shown strong interest in the health needs of children in rural communities.

Throughout his extensive career, he has primarily focused on education mainly primary school education as well as livelihood, providing numerous training programs aimed at empowering individuals and communities. He has worked with several international and local NGOs, leveraging his expertise to drive meaningful and sustainable change.

Mr. Krishna has completed higher secondary vocational education in horticulture from Kailaspur HS Vocational School and has been actively involved in the development sector since 2005. During his tenure in SOVA, he has focused in several areas like livelihood, village governance, education, and child rights and child protection. Among these, he is the most passionate about governance and livelihood, where his dedication and expertise has made a significant impact.

He has been responsible for managing the organization’s finances and has also provided training on financial management.
