SOVA conducted a study on the status of Upper Kolab displaced people
For the first time in undivided Koraput district a study on KABP was conducted on HIV and AIDS Targeted Intervention (TI) programe for migrant workers was launched
AIDS prevention programme was launched in Koraput District.
Child rights program was initiated in the district of Koraput.
1000 peer volunteers promoted to create awareness on prevention of HIV AIDS.
A new tool “Child tracking” was launched with the participation of child club
Free STI/RTI Treatment clinic established in Koraput district by SOVA.
700 street plays performed in 700 remote villages of Koraput district to aware community on mother & child health.
Establish two residential schools for 50 dropout boys & 50 dropout girls. Child sponsorship program was initiated in the district.
Establishment of positive people’s Network in the district
Launched diarrhoea control programme in Dasmantpur Block of Koraput Dist.Launched PD Hearth (A childhood malnutrition programme) in Koraput District
SOVA’s Vision, Mission, Strategy and Logo was reframed.SOVA’s new administrative office & training centre at Koraput became functional.
Became the mother NGO for the RCH-2 Programme in the district.
Develop three tribal language word book for the first time in Koraput district to Curb Language barrier in the border area of AP.
Initiation of Inclusive Education program for the blind and low vision children in the district Samadhan’ – a grievance redressal mechanism piloted by SOVA launched by Hon’b CM Mr.Navin Patnaik. Established a child care home ‘Open shelter’ for the need and Care children at Koraput with support of W&CD department.
Community Radio Station Inaugurated at Chappar
Innovative community tracking system (Community Monitoring & Information System- CMIS) was Introduced ‘Coaching for Hope’ an innovative tool for social change among youths launched in Koraput.
Tuber as a nutritious intake introduced Orange Flesh Sweet Potato promotion in 300 villages of the district.
Launch of a community-driven water and sanitation improvement project.
Established ASTHA children’s home at Chappar with support of W&CD department aunching of CHILDLINE-1098 program in the district of Krput
Ministry of Information & Broadcasting provided SOVA the License to broadcast from its Community Radio Centre ’Dhemsa’.
