Ensuring Quality Education to School Dropouts – ALOK and WRIP

WRIP is a 25-week rapid teaching tool that helps children enhance their reading and writing skills in 175 days. This is a cyclic approach that follows four steps. First, slow learners and dropout children are identified and enrolled in the WRIP centers run in the villages. Second, children are taught through the WRIP tool to accelerate their reading and writing skills in 25 weeks by the trained learning coaches. Third, children are assessed through a set of assessment tools. And fourth, children are re-enrolling in government schools to continue their studies.
Aalok is a 25-week rapid teaching tool that helps children accelerate their foundational literacy skills through innovative teaching and learning techniques Aalok is for children who drop out the school in early grades, children who migrate with their families, child labourers, and homeless children who cannot be enrolled directly into regular schools. We take up a variety of flexible alternative approaches to cater to the learning needs of out-of-school children. Our rapid learning modules enable children to learn reading and writing, in a matter of months, not years. Aalok helps children achieve foundational literacy and numeracy in 175 instructional days.
